  • Um, we haven't since DS was born 5 months ago! DH works all week, so our weekends are usually just relaxing and him spending quality time with DS.

  • We haven't been on a date in years. I don't think either of us misses that, thankfully we are both homebodies.

  • Any and all "date" activities around here must fit within some very strict guidelines my husband has:

They must occur between 11:30am and 2:20pm. Never mind that there are no sitters available during that time period, His Majesty does not enjoy lines at the box office or candy counter.

They must be lunch and a movie, with a possible stop at a Half Price Books. Apparently, no other activities exist in the entire universe.

Lunch must be Chinese Buffet. That way, His Majesty controls almost every aspect of the meal.

The movie must be something comic-book-related, comic-book-adjacent or otherwise testosterone-soaked, ab-flashing, plot-free twaddle. Actually, on that His Majesty and I agree, Momma does not enjoy the RomComs.
