    Talk to your doctor. It's in the C category, so I wouldn't recommend taking it.

  • Lysine is important for proper growth, and it plays an essential role in the production of carnitine, a nutrient responsible for converting fatty acids into energy and helping to lower cholesterol. Class C you have to weigh the risk factors.. if your body needs it then it needs it..
    Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not take supplemental lysine without talking to their doctor. Is listed on every bottle I can find so talk with your doctor and see if you need it.
