  • O.o

Maybe someone is against them because of the risk of TSS?

I personally couldn't live without them, lmao. I have friends that still use pads and I tell them they're crazy. I can't stand that gushy feeling, aaaack.

  • i was just reading this other ? and a few people said they were against tampons, not "don't use them" or "don't like them" but rather against them. just curious why. I've never heard anyone say they are against tampons before.

  • Some people don't like the thought of foreign objects in their body. How this makes sex acceptable, I don't know.

  • Some people are just flat out against it. There is also the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome. For others, it's just uncomfortable.

  • I know I can't use them because I'm allergic. But I don't see any other issue with them.

  • i'm a pad user...i just feel tampons are unsanitary. u have a period 2 get rid of waste...y would u want 2 keep it inside u on a dirty cotton swab for a couple hours?..and now the have tampons advertised for over night (gross). I understand they're sometime convienant but i have found ways 2 work around that...and the pads they make now r super thin an absorbant with fresh smells and a clean wipe on the package (like Always thin clean pads)

  • HA HA HA HA HA Ginger0104, good point!

I just find tampons incredibly uncomfortable. Yes, I'm using them correctly, but have such a light flow, it still hurts.

  • besides the risk of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) there were also reports awhile back about tampons leaving fibers inside your vagina... some people supposedly had skin grow over these small masses of decaying fiber inside them and caused some problems in there. I used to always use tampons and never wanted to just use pads, but recently switched back to pads only and noticed I felt better during my period; less crampy and less moody and less tired. Coincidence? I don't know but I am not switching back to tampons. I might have been having mild TSS all these years..
