Bratwurst Burgers

Today while we were shopping, they had Bratwurst burger samples out smothered in cheese. I'm not really fond of bratwurst... But my kids asked to try them. I said they could. They loved them. The whole time we were shopping, they were asking if they could go get more. They never ask me that.

I bought a box, which I thought was expensive ($7 for 6 burgers), but they loved them and I thought it would quiet them down.

First time I've ever seen them and thought it was neat. Has anyone else seen them or tried them?

  • We tried the bratwurst patties last summer. I liked them better than the original.

  • My husband is a fan of Johnsonville so I think he would be willing to give it a try.

  • Johnsonville. At the sample table, they were smothered in cheese. Looked and smelled delicious... But I don't like brats, so I assumed I wouldn't like them and didn't try.

  • They were selling very well. There were not many left. There were also boxes of Italian Sausage burgers.

  • I didn't know Johnsonville made patties...but a local grocery store chain makes their own, they mix their own brat meat & stuff them, and sometimes they'll freeze the meat in a log then slice it for burgers. They're my favorite.
