Baby wont sleep? what could be wrong?

my daughter is 3 weeks old. and ever since i switched from breast milk to formula she wont sleep! (i switched for a number of reasons and i dont want to breastfeed) i put her on similac and she didnt seem to be tollerating it well so i switched to gentle ease which has helped very little. shes up most the night. and usually takes 2 hours to go back to sleep, with contant eating, burping, changing, and holding her the entire time. during this time she is fussy but not too bad, but if i put her down she will start screaming. as soon as i pick her up shes fine. this went on from about 9pm-10am. with little periods of sleep inbetween. now its from about 5am-1pm (around) the rest of the day shes very happy and sleeps fine. what could be wrong and what do i do?

  • My 7 week old has had his days and nights totally switched around since birth. He's super active during the night, and totally asleep during the day. Maybe your baby is the same?

  • First... she's three weeks old. Sleep is not part of the equation here. Nothing wrong. NORMAL.
