How long do the hormones from Merina remain in the body after removal

  • Your hormone leves should return to normal within a cycle or two after you have merena removed. Your Dr should have told you about this when they removed it.

  • i am not 100% on the details, but i got my mirena removed on the first and got my period two days later. i am currently waiting to ovulate!! good luck!

  • p.s. it has been over a year since my last period. i just didn't have them while on hte mirena!

  • I had my mirena out in September and was told to wait at least one cycle before i am 3 cycles later and still not pregnant. I've done some research and seen some answers on here where people have not been able to conceive for months up to years. I guess it depends on everyone's body.

  • I had my IUD for 17 months. I had it removed in November and just got my BFP. I guess the hormones didn't stay that long! Lol! Good luck!
