  • Don't forget to brush your tongue and inner cheeks, drink lots of water (more saliva = less bad breath), use a water pick on top of regular flossing and brushing, & choose eclipse gum. If nothing works and you can't figure out what is causing bad breath you may want to consult you dr since that is actually a sign of some serious underlying conditions.

  • If you still have tonsils, it could be tonsil stones- where dead cells and mucus accumulate in pockets of the tonsils. Or it could be from acid reflux. or sinus or adenoid problems.

  • I agree with Ashes. You can also use an antibacterial mouthwash. Try to find one that is alcohol free because alcohol will dry your mouth. Again, if extensive mouth cleaning doesn't help, there may be something going on with your body that needs to be addressed.

  • When you're pregnant, the calcium the baby grabs comes from your teeth first--leading to bad breath, if you're not up on your calcium supplements/eating,drinking enough foods with calcium. even if you're not pregnant, I would assume this could still be a problem for some who don't get enough calcium in their daily diet-if you're like me and are relatively close to being vegan.
eat more cheese (best source) and drink lots of water-and all the daily hygienic stuff :-)

  • Brush your teeth and tounge at least 3 times a day and when your not doing that chew on stronger gum or listerine breath strips when you feel like your breath smells always works for me
