Summer school @ home

Good morning ladies! I would like to plan some study time in to our daily routine for the summer. I would love any thoughts you may have as to what we should be doing. Like review from this year, go ahead to the next grade or both. Also if anyone can share some good websites for work sheets and such. As well as workbooks that are good. My DD's are 8 and 10. Going in to 2nd and 5th grades. I also have a little guy who will be going to preschool in the fall.
TIA,

Ivy

  • They have books they sell on main displays at Barnes and Noble called "Summer Bridge Activities" and they have grades listed on them.

    Also have them try http://www.sheppardsoftware.com

Maybe just try to do a bit after dinner each night. Good luck!

  • There are tons of FREE worksheets on line. Just google what you are looking for. Try www.sites4teachers.com (it might be sitesforteachers.com) I use this one all the time. You can review what they learned in their current grade and start some of the next grade too. Also, just having them read appropriate level books and do study guides on the books helps too. My son is 14 and I have already gotten a list from the sophomore English teacher for books he can read this summer and all of them have study guides I can print online.
