Sibling discipline: How would you handle this?

When the two kids are in another room or out of eye shot and you hear one crying, both are not able to fully articulate what went down, do you punish both? One? None?

(ETA: One child is the aggressor 99.5% of the time and is never the one crying)

  • I try to eliminate the source of what caused it (or what I suspect to have caused it). If they were fighting over a toy...mine now. If they are fighting with each other...they lose the privilege of sitting in privacy. Completely "unfair" LOL...I know.

  • Punish both, that's what I do. I tell mine, I'm not the judge or the jury. I'm just a mom...
