How long will I go through this?

How long will it take for me to miscarry my baby.. they found my baby had no heartbeat.. died days before my ultrasound.. I can't handle carrying around my dead baby for much longer.. How long will it take? I wanted to avoid a d&c but i've no signs of miscarrying any time soon and i go tomorrow for more blood work but i don't believe my lvls will go down.. i wanted to wait to wait it out but i just can't. i wanted to see if i waited then maybe the babys heart beat would show on the ultrasound but now i know it won't and i just want things over with.

  • the baby only measured a little over 7 wks. I'm not past 8 wks I had another ultrasound done yesterday and same result. I'm going to have another one next week but deep down i know it will not change I've no hope left and don't want anyone to try and give me hope either. i just want this over with.

  • if my blood work says my lvls are still raising then i'll wait just a little bit longer but in my best interest its time to let go i've accepted things for how they are

  • babies heart beats can start to be heard at 6-8 weeks in pregnancy by a vaginal ultra sound (the heartbeat may not be picked up by a belly ultra sound or heart monitor ultra sound). there is room for a week worth of error in the early stages of pregnancy, so allow room for error on measurements. If after 8-9 weeks no heartbeat is found they will then say it's a miscarriage.

  • not only could it not be heard it wasn't even moving on the screen, the heart was stopped i went to two different doctors and both confirmed the same thing. i go next week i should be around 9 wks by then for another ultrasound but if my lvls raise from tomorrows blood tests then i'll wait just one more week but deep down i know.. if it were alive i'd know i'd feel it in my heart.

  • ((hugs)) That's devastating. :( It could be days or weeks. I wonder why they did an ultrasound so early? I didn't know they would even look for a heartbeat so early.
