could she be allgeric 2 the medicine?

i took my dd 2 the doctor today because i found a blister on her butt the doctor said she had a bacterial infection. i am at work and i gave her the medicine before i left and my bf said that she has been throwing up after she eats what could be going on with her do u think it is the medicine just getting into her system or what?

  • well the medicine is not something her body naturally makes and is foreign to her, so its fighting it and trying to get it OUT of her system by throwing it up.

  • How long ago did she take the medicine?
    It might be the medicine... don't give another dose and call the doctor first thing in the morning and see if they want you to start a new medication.

  • I would be it's not the medicine. And allergic reaction or even an upset stomach from the medicine would have happened much sooner than that. An oral medicine only takes about an hour to get into the system. You could give it again when the next dose is due and see if it happenes again, and if so, call your pediatrician.
