Whats the correct term for a 1 y/o old, baby or toddler?

So our daughter turned 1 May 19 and outside of saying our 1 y/o I dont know wheather to say our baby or our toddler when speaking of her

  • I always wondered that myself but I think they are a baby until they turn 2. Just my opinion. ( even when they are 18 they will still be your babies !! : )

  • It isnt about age. It is about development. If she is "toddling" which would be walking unsteady or trying to walk around then she is a toddler. You probably can start calling her that once she has taken her first steps. Toddler goes up to 3 or so I think. Around 3 or 4 kids become more graceful and balanced.

  • Thanks CMers shes been walking since 8 months. And calls me momma and everyone else dadadadada lol I agree @MommaB0334I still call my 11 y/o my baby
