  • My DH does it all the time, but not just cars, parts etc..... he's even gotten cars from there, but he usually goes for the not so good ones so he can fix them up. My DH,DS and my DD and my DS fiance are all driving cars that they got off CL. I'm the only one with a car bought off a lot... Funny I never thought about that until now...

  • We have had lots of luck purchasing from there.
We also sold a vehicle on craigslist that was destined for the junkyard, at a bit above junkyard prices. That one sold quick!

  • Yes I sold mine and I got a few scam calls and then a legitmate. Just make sure you make your rules clear. I.e. Cash only, must pick up etc.

  • My husband's uncle posted his pick up truck on a Thursday, he had cash in hand from a buyer by Sunday. So my husband's family thinks it great. And they want us to sell our old minivan there. The minivan is currently in the shop. When it's ready, we will give it a try but I'm weary. I don't believe it's safe to sell high priced items from your own home using cash only. I feel someone may feel they want the car but they also want to keep their cash so they rob you of both. Then again, I'm paranoid about those things anyways. I watch the news too much I guess. My best advice is avoid the scams, don't agree to ship the car, and please be very safe. I intend to only meet in public and will tell at least 4 people who I'm going to meet and everything I know about them.
