HOw much a month do you spend on Groceries?

My friend did a budget plan for me and factored in $117 a month lol! I couldn't help but to chuckle since she's a comparison shopper and more frugal than I could ever comprehend... I spend normally $500 for the 3 of us. My son is lactose intolerant with mild food allergies and we took all the dyes and HFCS out so things do end up costing more..

  • We have a family of 5... and I do not budget. I buy what we want to eat, I do comparison shop while in the market but that is all.

    I probably spend between $500 - $900 a month for a family of 5 (two are teens)
When we host a party I will drop between $100-$300 for food and drink so our summer budget is MUCH higher than our winter budget.

  • Family of 5, between $200- $300 max just for food (toiletries, diapers not included). I have started couponing (not extreme by any means) and that helps so much. I budget about $75.00 a week, and I've been able to cut my grocery bill in half some weeks just by watching sells and using coupons.

  • Family of 3, mom and 2 boys. I spend about $250-300 for both household needs and groceries. Try eating more whole foods. They don't contain anything artificial and are extremely cheap. There's no way I could get my grocery bill down to just $117 a month. I already shop as carefully as I can.
