I am making a cake that calls for shortening can I substitute butter? Would it come out the same?

  • Yes you can but I am not sure how much you would need. I don't remember what my chef told me about that in class except butter tastes better!

  • Okay thank you. I was just going to use the same amount butter as I would shortening....I hope it is the right amount...
