what does a mucus plug look like and when can it start to come out??

  • milky whiteish and kinda gooey that's my best description and anywhere from like 32 weeks on but they prefer it around 37+

  • is it like thick? like a lugey? i dont want to gross anyone out lol but when i picture it i picture it to be thick, and gooey and like a chunk or something lol.

  • I asked the ? under you and they said that is is my plug. It is just like paste. the thickness and all.

  • ive heard everyones is different.. my bffs was pinkish.. mine was yellowish... and they were boht kind of snotty texture.. mine came out at home when my contractions were 5 mins apart (thatsw how i knew for sure) and hers came out at the begining of labor with her first child , at the very end with her 3rd and her 2nd was an induced c section so she dk about that one.. i think it jsut depedns but if your worried the best bet is to ask ur doc

  • One thing that the Dr has told me is the Mucus Plug can "rebuild" itself. It does this to prevent infection. Check with your OB
