Under the arm temp? Add one degree?

For an under the arm temp with a digital thermometer do you add one degree? Thats the way i was brought up so i'm just wondering.

  • You do... but it's better to just know the normal range for the different methods of taking temps because if you talk to the doctor they want to know the ACTUAL temp not an adjusted temp.
    A normal under arm temp would be between 97.5-99.4 (99.5 would be a low grade fever)
