  • I was 20 weeks and it was accurate. You're not likely to find out at 12 weeks.

  • I was 14wks. The lady doing the ultrasound said if she sees a boy it is a boy if she sees a girl it could really be either at that point.

  • 17 weeks approx. It was a level 2 ultrasound by a tech & doctor who only do ultrasounds, no other OB work. I doubted it anyway, even though my OB said they know their business, but they were right.

The other 2 times, I didn't even ask ahead

  • Before 18 weeks, it's really just a guess. The genitals are fully developed until 18 weeks anyway, but aren't as distinguishable on an unltrasound until around 20-22 weeks. I found out at 20 and 21 weeks and it was accurate with both.
