3 Bumps

My daughter and I are making strawberry jam for the first time...

I never knew it was so easy. Th only thing is it takes longer to thicken than the recipe said. But it finally thickened up. And tomorrow we are going to have jam with crepes for breakfast.

  • when ds was little he would make it with me too. maybe save a jar and let her create a label for it. enter it in your county/state fair.

  • I make all our jam. The last couple of days I've made 8 cups of strawberry rhubarb, and 19 cups of rhubarb jam. I love making it, especially once the you-pick strawberry place is open and I can use good fresh-picked berries to make it! I make at least a year's worth and stash it in the freezer. I love experimenting with other flavors too - last year's best experiment was kiwi pineapple.
