Pregnancy rant : McDonalds ...

Usually I am very healthy eater, however as soon as I get pregnant I crave fast food cheeseburgers ... they are cravings and I HAVE to have them ...

Also, the thought ( and sight and smell) of ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc makes me puke ( literally) ...which is where this rant comes in.

There has been 3 times this week that I HAD to go get a cheesburger from McDonalds... and each time it was the same girl taking the order ( so i am blaming her ) ....

EVERYTIME I order, 2 PLAIN double cheeseburgers.

but I have yet to get those on the first try.

The first time, they both had ketchup and pickles, so I went in and nicely told them of their mistake and got my plain ones...

The second time, the same thing happened.

Today was #3 ... and this time instead of 2 little plain cheeseburgers, I got 2 big macs... which if you know is covered in sauce and lettuce and I think mayo....

So then I go in and still be nice, and ask them to give me my right order... and they get mad at me... even though I have a recipt saying what I ordered....

They give me my little cheeseburgers, I get to the car... and there is ketchup and mustard on it..

GRRR... If I ever get pregnant again ( which we plan on this being the last) I hope to God I do not get this craving again !!!

  • Maybe you should try getting those white castle burgers from the freezer section at the grocery store so you can get your fix without dealing with McDonalds.

  • My husband likes everything plain also. We have the same problem at all most every fast food place we go. You would think it would be easier to slap the meat and cheese on a bun and send it I have learned to check his oreder before we drive away to ensure it is correct. Sometimes it may anger the drive thru staff but if my order is wrong because of their lack of attention I simply and kindly hand it back through the window and wait untill it is correct. I have worked fast food in the past and understand that it can get busy and hetic, and people makes mistakes. Sometimes drive thrus get orders wrong so always check before you leave. You paid for what you want you should get what your ordered.

  • I have bought them plain - meat and bread only. Actually, when I order a plain burger at McDonalds, this is what I tell them - meat and bread ONLY.

  • Instead of ordering plain ones, try ordering a double hamburger with just cheese on it. The girl taking the order may not be hearing the word 'plain' when you're ordering.  If she still doesn't get it right, wait to go to a different cashier to place your order.

And, yes, the White Castles do come with chopped onions.

  • Same problem (without the pregnancy). I don't like or eat ketchup and mayo and I learned long ago when ordering from fast food I order this = veggie burger, plain, no ketchup, no mayo, no sauce, dry. And they ALWAYS say you don't want ketchup or mayo.....HELLOOOOOOO NO.

  • My dd is a manager at McDonalds. The girl taking the order isnt to blame but the cooks are. I would go in one day when you arent hungry and ask to talk to a manager. Explain whats been happening. You will have correct orders after that.

  • It is not typically the register person, it is usually the cooks.

  • Next time don't say plain. Order the burgers and then say NO ketchup, mustard,or onion. See if that fixes it.
