Food or Gas?

do you ever feel like you have to chose between buying food for the family for the week or buy gas to get where you need to be?  I am talking about us that are considered "the working poor" or lower that can't afford to do whatever we want whenever we please

  • We are very thankful and fortunate that we have not yet had to make that choice.

  • I buy food. We use gas sparingly and walk whenever we can. Food is more important than gas, but lately weve been having $1.50 dinners that give us leftovers for a whole other meal (spaghetti and meat sauce w/ can of veggies) just to get gas for hubby to go to work in!

  • gas is really breaking us,its really stressful because u got to have gas to go to work to get money yet allot of the money earned goes to gas...i never had to choose food over gas but paying bills late and not being able to do anything happens all the time. if only gas was cheap =(
