  • The temp is just fine. She may have just ate something bad.

  • The temp is not dangerous but a child of 3 who vomits a lot can easily get dehydrated. If he/she can keep popsicles, ice chips, water/diluted juice or pedialyte down and doesn't seem too ill or listless you may be ok. I always at least call the pediatrician when they are sick to get his/her advice and see if they want me to come in. That is your safest bet.

  • Normal temp is 98.6. I would contact a doctor, they do have answering services that will contact the doctor for u and the doctor will call u back. I would keep her/him hydrated. Give pedalite, ginger ale all room temp. Give chicken noodle soup,(only broth). U can also give applejuice & white grape juice. I would contact the doctor today! If your child had a virus or an infection, the temp would be going up not down. Wait for about 15 minutes for a call back from the doctor,if u don't get one take child to the emergency room!!!

  • Rectal temp is the most accurate.

  • 98.6 is just the normal range. VERY rarely is someone's temp actually that reading. I would push the clear room temp liquids. Don't be overly concerned if she doesn't want to eat. As long as she is acting okay inbetween vomiting episodes I would NOt contact that Ped.. More than likely it's a virus.
