Sweaty pipies

one of the pipes in my basement sweats. I mop it up about once a day if not more. It is right in front of my laundry room- which gets kinda hot, and the floor is hardwood so I can't ignore it anymore. It is a PVC pipe. Does anyone know how to stop it or if I can put anything around it too stop it?

  • That seems like a lot of water for it to be just sweating. Could it be leaking? If it is just sweating what about some pipe insulation? There are foam sleeves you can wrap around the pipes. Or even as low tech as a towel wrapped around it.

  • my drier exhaust pipe is broken as well, that's where all the condensation is coming from. Wrapping a towel around it seems like such an easy answer now lol. I sure will try that :)
