Does it count as water if it's Chrystal Lite? ??

So the Chrystal lite commercials say that women who drink their product consume like 20% more water daily than those that don't. ... So does it count as water, or another source of hydration??

  • Not if it has any type of sugar or sugar substitute. Also if it has caffiene, it actually dehydrates you.

  • Yes, it counts. But, you are also getting that much more of some other chemicals such as artificial sweeteners. So, like anything moderation is key!!

  • Rather than using artifical flavors, get some oranges and lemons and strawberries and add them to the water. It's natural flavoring and natural sugar.

  • but milk is milk, and coffee is coffee.... just 'cause it's liquid doesn't mean it's water...
but since chrystal lite is water based i'm just trying to be sure i get enough water since they told me to drink a gallon a day :/
water is loosing it's appeal after about half a gallon...
and some of the flavored water makes me nervous 'cause it has added sodium in it, and i have high bp so i can't drink it.

  • Have you tried adding Lemons or Oranges to water, let it chill over night... that can help change the flavor.
