What do you think of this name?

my husband has friends that are early 20's expecting their first baby. If it is a boy, they decided on Captain. hmmm.... thoughts on this one anyone?
the guy is really trying to get his wife to agree to Captain Maverick (first and middle).

  • Don't like it. It sounds like a dirty fishermen name. LOL.
    But that was not a nice thing for me to say. Even though I personally don't like it if the parents like it then that is the perfect name for their child.

    My brother and his DF named their son Romeo Casanova (first and middle name) At first I didn't like it and I thought it was ridiculous that they wpuld name the baby that.
    Now I love the name and it suits my nephew perfectly.

  • My sister has a friend that goes by Captain and it fits him really well! Everyone calls him that - I knew him for a year, before I knew his real name, which is Aaron. I think it's fine as a nickname, but not an official first name.

  • Not a good name. Sounds very corny. Remind them that the kid has to live with this name for the rest of his life.
