How many?

How many genders (not sexes!) do you think there are? Do you think that gender is a black or white, one or the other situation or is more of a grey area thing?

  • Wow, really?? You're still stuck on this ...

a : sex b : the behavioral, cultural, or psychological traits typically associated with one sex

There are two genders, just like there are two sexes. Male and female.

  • TWO:
    Male and female.
Then there are some varieties of genetic disturbances and hormonal influences that can cause modifications such as hermaphrodies....people with signs of both sexes. ANd there are the people who are physically a male ,for example, but feel in their mind that they are female.Or the opposite.
    But two genders basically.

  • Ellish - I'm not stuck on it. I'm just researching public opinion. I find public opinion to be fascinating, hence why my masters is in human services.

  • I love how you call this a matter of public "opinion." It's not a opinion ... it's a fact ... there are males and females .... that's it. There are no other options. It's scientific fact. I'm just floored that you think this is a matter of opinion.

  • I am floor at how you cannot tell the difference between sex and gender and how gender is a matter of public opinion.
