Is there an easier way to clean an area rug?

I have this huge area rug for my living room. I have no use for a steamer vacuum. But I don't want to scrub the carpet on my hands and knees any ideas.

  • Buy carpet cleaner that can be sprinkled on the carpet, wait the stated time, and then vacumn. Or your resolve carpet cleaner.

  • I take mine outside on my driveway, put a little soap on it, and I scrub it with a deck brush, which is a scrub brush with a long handle on it. Then I hit it with the hose! Next, I hang it up on a porch railing to drip dry. Works great!

  • I am also a fan of the scrub it in the driveway and rinse with a hose technique:) I hang ours in a nearby tree to dry:)
