Help Naming Book...from 20+ years ago

When I was a freshman in high school, I bought a paperback book that I loved, read several times over, and it was stolen from my locker before the year ended. This would have been '86-'87. I have been trying to remember the name of this book and have been doing search after search and can't find it. Figure eventually I'll come across someone who has read it and can help.

It's about two redheaded twins that were originally from Crete...or at least their family was from there. One was "good" and one was "evil." They had some sort of special powers. If I remember correctly, the "good" one had a boyfriend who was helping her out in her battle against her "evil" sister.

  • I did a search, and I came across someone else looking for information about these books. Someone posted that they thought it might be "The Witches of Eileanan", but the publication date doesn't match up (says the paperback was released in 98.) Do you remember anything else about your book? This one seems to be set in Ireland or Scotland rather than Crete.

  • I was having a hard finding a book once. I went to the library and told them what I could remember, they found it pretty fast. Maybe you see if the library near you can help.

  • Have you tried searching with the word doppelganger instead of twins?

  • Maybe call Barnes and Noble or Borders...they might be able to help. Check the library too.
