Bed wetting

My 3.5-year-old very rarely wet the bed before I started changing her sheets every week. Now, on the night she has fresh sheets, she almost always wets the bed.

Has anyone experienced this? Are there reasons for this? Thoughts? Prevention?

  • Okay medically a boy's bladder grows slower than he does I know this. With a girl, maybe you need to consult your doc on this one. Not sure of the connection with the sheets. I know infections, sleep apnea, all that needs to be checked out with bed wetting. Here's a link that might help

  • Sometimes she is, other time she at least doesn't say anything about it. Last night I am not sure she even noticed because their room was dark when they hopped in bed. ??

  • My sons have wet the bed for different reasons. My oldest used to wet the bed if he ate dairy(like I used to as a child). And my 2nd son will wet the bed for 6 days straight after eating preservatives in bread. Here is a good link that talks about this http://www.goodnites.com/na/bedwetting-education/articles/eating-and-enuresis-how-foods-affect-bedwetting.aspx
