  • I live about 30 minutes south of Chattanooga. The job market is doing better than most. You can go to www.chattanoogahasjobs.com and find several places that are hiring. Also, they are currently building a VW plant in Chattanooga which will open up 2000+ jobs. I am not sure about this you may want to check with your friend but the property taxes and insurance are next to nothing I believe. Again, check with your friend about that. Sales tax , however, is nearly 10%. Of course with any community you are going to have some areas in the city that are better than others so I would do some research online to see what you like best. I have heard some great things about the schools. As far as entertainment, there is plenty. Chattanooga has A LOT to offer. That's about all I can think of for now. If you have anymore questions just send me a message and I will answer them as best as I can.
