  • Family...$20 no matter how many kids. As a business arrangement as a babysitter,$20 per kid...sibling discount.

  • Depends on who they are. Family and friends no.

  • If it was a friend and it was a one time thing, I wouldn't charge them. I would let them reciprocate for me though =)

  • I wouldn't charge. I would just make sure they supply me with diapers, wipes, and extra clothing. I like to do whatever I can to help someone out. I know how hard it can be.

  • It all depends...i used to do day care from my home and if it were one of my day care kids yes I'd charge a little extra. If its one of my friends I don't mind at all as long as Im going to be home anyway. For my day care kids I usually charged about $3-$4 an hour.

  • NO, just make sure they have everything they need

  • Unless we are talking about my own grandchild, yes, I would charge. I don't have young kids so swapping babysitting really isn't an option. I also don't want to be the last minute free babysitter for friends or family. How much to charge would depend on how many kids, if I am feeding them a meal and what ages the kids are.

  • Not really. If they would return the favor that would be payment enough!!!

  • In general, no. If it was an ongoing arrangement, yes.

I often help friends and church members with watching their kids - even making school pickup runs and whatnot - when situations arise. And I know that they would help me, too, if the tables were turned.

  • If it was like my sister and my nieces/nephews, no. But generally, anyone else I would charge, and I think $20 is reasonable.
