Should someone tell her it already is a crime?

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D.-Fla.), chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, denounced Republicans last week for believing illegal immigration “should in fact be a crime.”

“I think the president was clearly articulating that his position--the Democratic position--is that we need comprehensive immigration reform,” said Wasserman Schultz at a Christian Science Monitor Breakfast on May 26.

“We have 12 million undocumented immigrants in this country that are part of the backbone of our economy and this is not only a reality but a necessity," she said. "And that it would be harmful--the Republican solution that I’ve seen in the last three years is that we should just pack them all up and ship them back to their own countries and that in fact it should be a crime and we should arrested them all.”

Is this the kind of brilliance the DNC relies on?

  • Nah. Don't tell her. It would really mess up the dream world in which she lives!!! Besides that, she and the other Dems need the votes of all those folks who aren't supposed to be here to begin with!

  • You do understand that if they're unregistered, they cannot vote? All of these comments about "it's only because they need the vote" are just plain ignorant. I live in AZ, and I see first hand how these PEOPLE boost our economy. After SB1070 was passed, everyday things like trade-work and handyman services SKYROCKETED. The United States was once a place where everyone could come with the hopes of freedom, and now we build walls. It usually costs 8K+ to get citizenship, so can you blame some of them for not applying? How many of you could fork out that kind of money? And now all of the sudden, every Mexican is a criminal? You argue we pay for their medical, yet say nothing about the crack head that OD'd, the Obese lady that had the heart attack, or the idiot motorcyclist that was too cool to wear a helmet. We pay for their ignorance too. Educate yourselves, and quit being sheeple.

  • The ignorance of elected officials is amazing! That doesn't say much for the people that elected them either.

Yeah, because there's no such thing as identity theft. Go tell those 2 and 6 year olds who are filing for bankruptcy because their soc security numbers were stolen before they were born about how disenfranchised the ILLEGALS are.

  • Wow! This is certainly a new thing to add to the stupid list. I would be too embarrassed to leave the house if I said something so stupid.
