What can I do for my roses?

I have/had a gorgous rose bush in my front yard that hubby and I transplanted last spring. It was full of blooms then Saturday morning my MIL dumped about 4 cups of epsom salt on it claiming it was "food" (she told me after the fact). Now my bush has lost nearly all of it's blooms. Is there anything I can do to reverse the effects?

  • Shovel up the dirt and replace it.
She put way too much. The most I'd ever use is 2 tbsp. Not 4 cups.

  • Thank you, twinsplus2more! I will try that and hope my poor rose bush can recoup. (c:

  • I would either transplant it to another location or dig up the dirt around I and replace it with nutrient rich soil with a little fertilizer.
