Rewarding good behavior?

On a scale from 0%-100%, how often does/did rewarding good behavior work? (such as candy,gifts,money,and other materialistic objects)

  • I don't know a percentage, but I do know that with our kids we don't reward good behaviors with materialistic items. Instead, we offer our kids praise for a job well done. It works for us.

  • I think catching them being good is the best way to get cooperative kids. Positive reinforcement, praise not material items, is ideal!

  • I don't use gifts as rewards for good behavior, I use praise and positive reinforcement.

  • for us 10% it really is only used in our home for school work and school behavior b/c i am not there to praise them all day!
