Cold Water or Warm Water?

my DH insists on washing all the clothes (and I mean ALL) in cold water. I have to wash the towels in either Warm or even hot water, along with all the underwear... he is constantly harping on me about changing the setting on the washer, so i have to sneak my loads.

What do you use?

  • Cold water will wash & clean. You could use cold water detergent if it makes you feel better. I also use hydrogen peroxide on underwear & socks, & vodka in wash of towels only need a shot with detergent.

  • We use nothing but cold water. The clothes still come out clean and fresh and there is less shrinkage than when using hot/warm water.

  • i only use cold. i use to use hot for towels & underthings, but then i accidently used cold once & i couldnt tell a difference, so i switched to cold for everything cause its cheaper.

  • I always use cold. It helps with the power bill, and my clothes are just as clean.
