How do I get my husband to agree to buying a sectional?

Do you think he'll let me have what I want if I let him paint the walls blue like he wants?

  • I think it sounds like a perfect compromise. Good Luck (post a picture when you have the room done.)

  • Have no clue. Wouldn't work with my husband though. If he didn't think a sectional made sense in the room we'd not be getting one. I personally don't like them as they are so big and bulky.

  • Express a desire, show him pics of how it would look in a room like yours, prove you can afford it, etc. Treat it like a business deal.

  • You can always do what Lucille Ball did in one of her "I Love Lucy" episodes. Ricky said she couldnt have a new living room set so she went and ordered it anyway and tried to say she won it in a contest, LOL

  • Is he looking at it from a more practical view? Meaning, will it fit through your doors into your living room, etc?

  • That might be a good compromise. You could also take him to a furniture store and let him sample the comfy sectionals. They might sell themselves.

  • look some up for him online or better yet take him to the store. I love our sectional. Good luck!
