  • A lot of babies do NOT crawl at 6 months so don't worry, it may even be 8 months before they do.

  • 6 months is very much the earlier end of crawling, I believe the typical age range for crawling is about 6-12 months. It may be a while yet. I wouldn't stress over it, she'll get to it when she's ready =)

  • My daughter didn't start crawling until she was almost eight months old and then she started walking at nine months! I wouldn't worry about it, she'll start when she's ready.

  • My first started crawling at about 6 mo. but my second didn't start until she was almost 9 mo. and I didn't do anything different just a lot of tummy time and baby sit ups is what I did with both. They just develop differently

  • Your daughter may never crawl. Some children skip this completely. Others have modified versions of the typical crawl, like scooting on their bottom, an army crawl and rolling from place to place. My son started crawling at 6-months which is very early for a boy as they typically do things later than girls. Remember this though....crawling is NOT considered a milestone as other developmental steps.

  • She'll crawl when she's ready. My DD started at 9.5 months, and DS at 11 months. Sit back, and enjoy not having to chase her yet :)

  • My granddaughter never did crawl. She got where she wanted by scooting and rolling, then she started walking.

  • Both my daughters didn't crawl (it was more like scooting with elbows) till almost 8 months. My oldest started walking at 11 and my youngest is about to start walking (well she is standing up by herself pretty well) and she is 9 months. Your daughter should be fine. She will become mobile in good time and then she'll never stop moving (if like mine).
