Is there any Summer Food programs?

in Ada, Michigan area that gives help during the Summer to families in need? Or how can I find them?

  • I am not in your area..sorry. Free lunches are available at one of our schools..they are volunteer funded & operated..the school district just donates the commercial kitchen. The lunches are sack style...not much..but much better than nothing.

    You might also check with area churches to see if they are doing a garden. Our church has a big garden every year. Anyone in the community is welcome...they like it if you help out a little..but it isn't required..just come pick what you need. We had over 20,000 pounds of vegetables last year.
