HURRY! Can I make my can of mamwich with lentils? I'm out of beef...

How much lentils and how would I do it? Cook the lentils then add sauce or simmer them i the sauce...

  • I would simmer in the sauce. Probablly 3/4 of an lb or less (they'll soak some liquid) or if you used a pound and made it a bit drier you could make lentil loaf out of it.

  • I think it would work. I'd cook the lentils till they're almost ready, then mix them with the sauce for the last ten minutes or so of cooking, so they absorb some of the flavor. You may also want to add a little oil or butter, since beef is fatty but lentils aren't.
