Where does me and my daughter take pop can tabs for kids in the hospital?

My daughter has well over 5 or 6,000 pop can tabs that she has asked people to save for her and what we have had at home. My work saved them for me also. You can take them to a hospital and they are given to the hospital and it is used for sick children who need certain machines to help then get well. Does anybody know or have heard about this? What kind of hospital could we give to? Maybe this don't happen no more. I'm not sure with the tabs.

  • Call your local Childrens hospital and see if someone knows there. We saved them for cancer treatments for uninsured children at Santa Rosa Christus Hospital. I don't know about other places though. If you have an aluminum recycling center nearby they might know too.

  • Snopes is full of BS. They often have bad info on their site. We know for a fact that one hospital here in town did it.

  • Even if you can't find a hospital that is participating, take them to a recycling center and take the cash and donate it to a childrens charity.
