  • My son stood on his own independently around 6 months. He started walking 3 weeks ago. He will be 10 months next week.

  • There's no way to tell. She could take that leap and start walking tomorrow or she could stand to play but drop to a crawl to move for months.

Since it could happen tomorrow, baby proof, baby proof, baby proof! Look around - are there things she could trip over, like thick rugs? Hard things to land on when she falls - like steps or fireplace hearths? She will soon discover that she can open the cupboards and take out everything inside.

  • My daughter was premature and has low muscle tone. She is 18 months old and finally crawling. She will stand up next to the couch but hasn't progressed to standing on her own yet. I know she'll do it, I just need to be patient and help her with her exercises.

  • my son right now is almost 11 months old and he stands on his own but isnt walking yet. he has been able to stand on his own since he was 9 months old, I have a friend who had a little girl 10 days after i had my son and her little girl is walking. So i guess its when ever the child is ready :)
