How far along should I wait to do a belly casting/mold as a keepsake?

  • 35+ weeks. you might think you are big when you start your third trimester- but you will get so much bigger as your due date approaches:)

  • 2 weeks before your due date that way you will be the biggest without the worry of going into labor before you have it done

  • I started mine at 38 weeks and got half of it cast. We were planning to finish casting it after my 39 week appointment, but sadly had to be induced that day. So now I have half of a pregnant tummy in my closet.

    I'd recommend NOT waiting past 38 weeks just in case you have your baby early...

  • I would also recommend 36wks, I was waiting until I was 38wks to do it but ended up going into labor the day before :(
