I know references should not be family members. Problem is, I have been out of work for 10 years. Who should I list?? Thanks!
You should use someone who knows your work ethic as well as your personality. If you have done some volunteer work or maybe helped with the church picnic a couple times and worked along side someone who can say what kind of worker you are. Otherwise family would be your only option. Good luck!!

Are you involved with any school programs (PTA), religious programs, or any community event where people would be able to speak positively about your character. Sometimes it could be a neighbor, or friends. Have you gone to school during that time away from work, you could use a teacher. If you have nobody else, then you can use family.
