My son is 12 months old..

Should i get his tongue clipped or should i just wait til he starts talking, or what? I would love all the advice in the world. Please let me know what u think. Thanks!

  • I would wait. If it hasn't caused any problems so far... see if he has any problems with speech. If not, then it's not a problem.

  • My son needed his tongue clipped because the underneath part of the tongue connected to the tip of his tongue making his tongue dimple. this can cause slurring and speach impedimeants if it isnt taken care of, thats why we had his tongue clipped. I would though tell your concerns to your childs doctor because they would know whats best for your child.
