  • sidewalk chalk (you can write letters/numbers and work on hand writing skills), park (social interaction) swimming (either local pool, lake, river & teach water safety) see what your local rec center or parks program offers in the way of summer activities...oh and i think local YMCA also have programs..

  • Besides trips to your local park, water balloons or a little backyard swimming pool, your local library should have some planned activities for kids. Ours does puppet shows, magicians, etc. Plus your oldest can join the summer reading program. Also, check on line resources for arts/crafts ideas, books w/ themes or easy lesson plans activities associated w/ the story. Have fun & enjoy your summer! :)

  • Wherever you go, whatever you do can be school related, so pick things you and your kids like and go from there.

If you love the zoo, go to the zoo. Have your oldest make a graph of animals, or make up a story about a zookeeper to write down, or put him in charge of reading the map, or reading the animal information.

Look on homeschooling websites for ideas, and pick the ideas that work for you, your kids, your budget, and your interests.

    And have fun, Mama!
