  • Sounds to me like Christ is a 3 year old... My 3 yr old son thinks everything is his too... Doesn't mean any of it is!

  • The Toddlers Creed -

    If it's mine it's mine,
    if it's yours it's mine,
if I like it is mine,
if I can take it from you it is mine,
if I am playing with something ALL of the pieces are mine,
if I think it is mine it is,
if I saw it first it's mine,
if I had it then put it down it is still mine,
if you had it then you put it down it is now mine,
if it looks like the one I have at home it is mine...

That's what this quote reminded me of... I just had to find it!

  • I'm thinking it's a quote that does not make your Christ look very good or loving, but rather posessive and childish.

  • my thoughts on this are, the author is conditioned to think that Christ exists even though there is no evidence for him, and that he perpetuates the idea of Christ existing by making this statement as if it is a fact, instead of common religious guess work regarding the supernatural.

  • LMBO, love it Sabrina(and my 3 yr old fits into that category with a tee LOL).

I dont think Christ is acting like a 3 yr old but the author of the quote and his interpretation of how he thinks Christ felt(which we all know happens a lot amongst those who believe Christ is the Savior of mankind).

Does the quote impact me...nah cuz I dont believe Christ was a Savior, I think he was just a man trying to do some good like many before and after him.

  • I need to get to these questions faster so I can stop saying "What clarity333 said."!

Well said and my feelings exactly. And I have to also agree that the quote makes Christ sound like a petulant child.

  • That seems a pretty good summation of what I hear a lot of evangelicals saying. Seems like if God really was a higher being, he or she would not harbor such inherently human emotions.
