Cervix and labor question

My doctor says I have a crooked cervix and that birth will help straighten it out. That just sounds even more painful than birth. Anyone else been told this or had this issue and what was the outcome?

It points posterior in pregnancy and comes anterior (moves forward as more of a direct straight line down-out) in labor.

  • I was never told that, but with this pregnancy I was told my uterus is completely tipped forward and should straiten out by birth. If not I have to have a c-section :( here's a bump. Hopefully some others have gone through this and can answer your question.
