  • It just depends. If its a weekend and he isnt training, then yes. He took care of DS for 3 days by himself when I got a wisdom tooth pulled.

  • He tries, and it helps.

  • not really, but he doesn't really get time off either. He helps, but its still not like I get a full day off. It's more the kids than him though. They still want and need you, even though you are sick.

  • I have been a sahm for 16+ years and have only been too sick to do what needs to be done twice.

First time he did come home. Second time he was on a business trip and the oldest (10 at the time) had to do it all.

If I was ever THAT sick again... he would come home in a heart beat.

  • No. I was puking one night. He stayed up all night playing video games and went to sleep around 4 am. I was up at 6 with our 2 young kids after being up sick all night. Real nice.

  • Does turning on cartoons and going back to sleep on the couch count as caring for the kids?

  • What's a sick day?

    Yeah right.

  • LOL! He would help if I asked but to tell you the truth, If I am sick, I would rather be alone with my toddler. I would put him down for a nap & nap myself. When I had my gallbladder removed my DH stayed home for a few days to help me out though.
