Thermostat

so here lately our thermastat during the day is reading 86 degrees we have our ac on and my landlord has already fixed the ac once, does anybody have any useful info on it?we keep it on 72,thanks in advance.

  • Compare the termostat with another thermometer.

  • It's reading 86, but does it FEEL 86? I'd get, as tootoobusy said, another thermometer and see if the temp is actually that high. If it doesn't FEEL 86, it could be that the thermostat is taking a crap and needs to be changed. Otherwise, it could be your ac or it could be the thermostat, hard to say for sure. Is your thermostat on an outside wall or in direct sunlight? Those can affect it.

  • Unless you want to pay a fortune for your electricity, I would suggest setting your thermostat to78 degrees. But, it sounds like it is busted.

  • get another thermostat and then compare the two and see if they are reading the same or not

  • update our landlord send somebody over yesterday to take a look at it, he said it might be jus tthe way our traillor is made, and too he might be coming back with somemore ceiling fans to help circulate the air. one thing ill say we have a good landlord now and hes not gonna let us stay hot, we did get a fan yesterday and it made a big difference! :)

  • try getting fans to circulate the air..also keep shades drawn during peek hrs
