How about we just consume RFID chips? Then the gov't can really be our nanny.

  • RFID has a really hard time reading thru liquid material, so swallowing one wouldn't do the government any good.

My DH is an RFID engineer, and this concept is laughable.

  • I know it makes me sounds like a conspiracy nut, but if the government wants to track you, they don't need an RFID chip.

  • Actually, scout mom ... I was more concerned with the government getting a hair up their rear about what I eat (or don't eat).

  • I think I'll pass. I can see "chipping" as an upcoming possiblity though. We do it to our pets without a second thought..to keep them safe. There is a lot of talk about chipping those with Alzheimers and Autism...to keep them safe. It doesn't take a stretch of the imagination to see how it might be "needed" to keep us all...safe.

  • YSK, I don't chip my pets. I have no tags attached to my livestock. I'll pass on one for myself.

Too many animals have developed tumors at the injection site (although not quite as many as those from repeat vaccinations). In either case, I refuse to do something to a pet I love that may well shorten their already comparatively short lifespans. Not all of the population blindly follows along with what is 'trendy'.

OP, after living with the freedom to make my own choices, learning from my mistakes, and happily enjoying my life, I have NO interest in picking up a gov't. nanny to spy ... er ... watch over me now. I'd much rather 'we the people' be able to chip congresscritters and other elected officials, make them all wear shock collars, and only let them out on a leash.

I'll continue to grow/raise my own food. Sans chips. People that come up with this crap need a shrink to deal with their control issues imo.
